what's wrong with phi mu?
by: SoI'm going to be a freshman next year and one of my friends is in Phi Mu and I was really interested in joining when I found this website. The posts on the phi mu ranking things make it seem terrible but my friend makes it seem so great. Can I get a real idea of the chapter?

Phi Mu is an average house. No real distinct characteristics beyond just being a sorority that exists. This doesn't mean they're a bad house (because they aren't), but their latest pledge classes haven't been stacking up to the classes that houses such as Fuzzies have been putting together. They're dropping slowly, but they remain a staple house. They're not really that bad, far from it. Their most recent pledge class actually has a fair deal of cute to hot girls.

I've had a lot of fun with Phi Mu's. They've got a really good sisterhood with some girls that stand out in the house. They're not the best, but a solid middle of the ground house. The problem with GreekRank is that if you're not top 5 or one of the posters favorite houses then you're irrelevant or suck or something else. Honestly it's best to do formal and see where you fit in the best and go there. You'll be partying and pairing no matter what sorority you're in, but what's important is that you're happy with your sisters.

Azd is actually higher than phi mu, SK and aopi now based on their most recent pledge classes and pairings. Just the facts. I see them closer to AXO and zeta than these houses

Phi mu is at the bottom of zeta achio and Azd mix... Next semester will confirm this and it's gonna be interesting how these houses do. Achio and Azd are making major improvements while phi mu is just stagnant if not falling as well as zeta falling due to how many girls dropped. Aopi will be starting over but are getting a house in the next two years which will allow them to start competing with these houses but it will take time. Sigma kappa has definitely fallen, pairing with ato isn't helpful.

They're a fine house. In terms of rankings, they're dropping a lot. However, if the house fits your personality, then it doesn't matter. Rush formally to find the right house.
