recruitment outfits

I am from Texas and am not sure how what people wear to formal recruitment differs in Indiana. My sister is convinced that everyone in Indiana is against Lilly Pulitzer and thinks that I should not wear it to any of the events. Can anyone who is familiar with recruitment tell me what they think? Also what do you guys think about strapless dresses or white after labor day during recruitment?
