Rankings absolutely do matter because as much as you say they don't, you will always come back on this site with a sliver of hope waiting for somebody to mention your irrelevant bottom house. With that being said, here is a sorority rush breakdown:

The best of the best girls go Alpha Phi. These are the girls with the professional senior headshots and their prom pictures showing off their coordinated Instagram feed. You take one good look at them and know they're going to get what they want. The girls who are almost there but might be lacking in some areas, or don't have the exceptional Instagram feed/social media presence will go Kappa or AXO, who are just a little bit more accepting on looks, but they don't shine the way Alpha Phi does.

Next you got top houses Zeta and DZ. The girls in these houses will be similar to the ones in Kappa and AXO because usually during rush, girls will pref Kappa/AXO as #1 and Zeta/DZ as #2. But all in all those aforementioned houses are all solid and reliable options, they all hang around each other and the same top frats so there isn't much of a difference.

Girls who didn't get back the top 5 will move on Chi Omega and DG. These are definitely smaller, more cliquey houses, but they have a good mix of who they pair with. If a girl is preffing one of the top 5, she will most likely put these two or DDD as her #2 choice. DDD girls are social butterflies, they have a nice location where it's not too far from campus, close to the dorms for new members, and around other frats and sororities.

Girls looking to party will go Pi Phi, while girls who are more shy and academic focused will go for Theta. DDD and Pi Phi are similar where they both get all the invites, however DDD is more "sorority-like" while Pi Phi is like the "frat" of the srats. Same coin, different sides.

Next in line is AXiD. These girls are also the party type, but they're more discrete about it. They show out to top frats but have yet to secure a good pairing. Phi Mu girls do also get invites, but they are way more inclusive about looks than most houses. Both houses are great for girls would like to party but don't want to join a "cliquey" house. But girls would rather join a different house over these two.

Then you're left with Sigma Kappa, Kappa Delta and Alpha Omicron Pi. On this site you will see the controversy that these 3 houses have with each other, but in reality they are pretty much the same. SK is comparable with Phi Mu so they got put first. KD has the biggest house here, but both KD and AOPi have good locations as they are close to classes, apartments for live-outs, and have direct bus routes from dorms. Girls who are looking for a great sisterhood will go for SK and AOPi.

Finally comes Alpha Gam, Gamma Phi Beta and Phi Sigma Rho. All three houses are in the acres and have kind, friendly girls with great sisterhoods. If you pref any of them as #1 you will most likely receive a bid.
