Rush by the #'s

by:

All data below is publicly available. It is sorted by # of Members. I threw Sig Chi a bone and included them. New Membership GPA typically provides a direct correlation to how difficult/time consuming pledging is for the house (also look at Fall New Membership GPA – much lower for some houses). Use this list to narrow down what houses to visit. Join the house based on who you meet.

An extremely low GPA on new members can provide insight on what to expect as a pledge. A strong brotherhood can be obtained without putting pledges on academic probation.

There are very few events remaining. It is also common for fraternities to cancel 1 or 2 of the remaining recruitment events. Make these last few days count and get your ass going!

Jack, you asked how to rush a fraternity. The reality is if you don’t already know guys in a house (out of state), it can be difficult to know where to start.
1) Decide what size fraternity is too small/big.
2) Do grades matter? If so narrow the search further
3) Is a dry house ok?
4) Is the fraternity on probation (if so, long or short term)
5) Attempt to get some subjective information from other students (I would only use this to eliminate the extreme houses).

Then, visit those houses that made your
cut.

I assume you are now looking into spring rush. Not all houses do a spring rush.
