sorority rush fall 2023
by: PNMhey guys i’m gonna be rushing as a sophomore in the fall. how hard is it to get a bid from top sororities as a sophomore? how hard s pledgeship to these top sororities? i’m thinking aphi, kappa and tri delta. thank you!

i’m kinda concerned that you are asking these questions here. If you want aphi or kkg as a sophomore you probably need to already know girls in those houses. In which case just ask them if your close. Pretty much any other house, tri delt included, it will just depend how on rush goes, both how you present yourself and how there classes shape up. Pledgeship is just putting in time, for basically all sororities here.

why are you rushing as a sophomore, that too only chasing a top house? did you just not make friends your freshman year or have such a bad experience that you need to redeem it by only joining a top one? if you get a lower house are you just gonna drop right after recruitment?

Top tier is only a perception. You are much better off getting to know the actives in each house. Houses in your non top tier may be ones you actually love and will be pleasantly surprised. Being in a sorority isn’t only about your ‘pairs’ rather it’s about creating long lasting and lifetime friendships.
All sororities base their pledge numbers on house capacity and who’s living in the following year. So fresh and soph are taken in every house.
Knowing the ‘right’ people in a house helps a lot because those right people have pull and can get you in. If an active is not well liked- her opinion goes down the tubes when recommending a rushee.
This is true for any rushee. Oh- and you may want to clean up your Instagram./social media.
