Don't be afraid of lower houses

I was a pledge at a bigger house my freshman year, and dropped pretty quick into the semester and decided to rerush my sophomore year, and it was the best decision I've ever made. Yeah the tiers are important and everything for pairings and parties and stuff, but also acknowledge that you'll be spending every single day with these guys. Going with a house you can be yourself in is much more important than going for a house that just throws down the hardest. The guys at my house are a lot like me, and that was something that was difficult to find for me in the greek system. Stick with your gut, and don't force yourself to be like guys you're not just to have fun on weekends. And this is not to bash on top houses either, if you find you click with the guys from a top house, go for it! The greek system really does have a place for most people, you just have to be willing to seek it out.
