Shut up about ChiO
by: LmfaoLet me preface this. I’m not in chi o I’m in a frat. Which probably is the same with the people posting about “mean chi o exec” it’s all a rumor mill and until ifc or Panhellenic says something just shut up😂 I don’t think any dude cares about what’s going on with them because it could be all false. So just shut up and let them do what they do and worry bout yourself lmao

ChiO is now under the supervision of their national due to internal house issues. This means they are on national probation. The board and culture of the house have become toxic and both juniors and seniors are now taking early alum status to flee.
Issue is real and no screaming on this stupid site will change things. The exec at ChiO didn’t follow the house points and room assignment rules but worse yet put in place a toxic environment where people became afraid to speak.
If you want to live in Cold air as a junior then by all means go chi o. But, things won’t change until the national people that are now at the house clean up the mess.

Good news! ChiO exec board had a pre rush shake up or shake down depending on your pov!
The supervisors from National were brought in due to the extreme bullying in the house and the inability of the board to treat members with respect and follow the rules.
So many juniors and seniors took early alum that this is the first year in 50 years that there will be no active ChiO seniors graduating! And, there are only 3 ChiO juniors left that are active.
If these stats don’t tell the story of the toxic board then I’m not sure what else to tell you.
If you go through recruitment at ChiO and see someone that looks a little bit tired and disheveled please ask her if she is the person who as a junior is sleeping in the hallway in a sleeping bag! There is no bed available for her anywhere in the house and the board refuses to help her.

I was one of the ChiO people that took early alum because of what has been going on in the house for the last year and a 1/2. Due to zoom rush we unfortunately got many people that didn't fit with the prior vibe of the house and sadly those same people are now on Exec. The culture became toxic and my mental health was declining. I'm sad to not graduate as an active ChiO but to see a house I loved being brought down by a minority was more than I could take. I'm glad I'm out.

Looks like the Exec team is walking on eggshells as it seems that they might be replaced before rush. National person said today that the atmosphere in the house is 'awkward' and 'uncomfortable' and the tension can be cut with a knife due to cliques. Its really sad as the house used to be cool. Now you aren't even sure if its ok to sit down anywhere at meals (its not...) and it never used to be this way. Its very stressful and I can see why so many people left. I miss the seniors as they were the best.

What the hell are you talking about?? We have a bunch of seniors and juniors I have no idea where u are getting this from. Everyone has a room and there is no national probation. The house points system was completely fair (coming from someone with few house points). Why do you all feel the need to straight up lie. Yes some people have a bad experience here and there but that happens at every house and normally other factors are involved. The exec board is truly amazing and does so much work that anyone that’s not in Greek life can’t imagine. Get a life hall
