I also think that houses that are typically ranked high haze more. Hazing forces a brotherhood by going through hell together (i.e. basic training). But to act like the only way to develop a bond is by hazing, is pretty nuts. I think the reason hazing continues is that since we were hazed, we now feel that we did our time and the next PC needs to do theirs. There are a few traditions I wouldn't mind being eliminated.

The following houses are known for minimal hazing: ATO, DSig, Sigma Nu, Phi Sig. I don't think you need to rush necessary one of these houses, but I would be hesitant to join a house known for bad hazing. I won't mention those houses because it might not be allowed. Good luck and trust your gut.
