What frats are not on probation this semester
by: Zach edeyI heard a lot of fraternities are on probation and can’t throw functions this year. Does anyone know which houses they are? Freshman rushing and I’m not tryna waste a whole year w no parties.

According to the Purdue ODOS website
the following large (more than 80 members) fraternities are on probation and cannot throw any functions (including date parties, tailgates, functions with sororities, day parties, or any other non-rush related events this year)

Phi Kappa Psi (Phi Psi)

I’m in DG and pi kapps have already registered 3 functions this year. They are not on probo at all.

I’m in DG and we’re going to be at two functions at pi kapps this week. They are not on probation and honestly I’m glad we paired with them. Apparently they are going to have a lot functions this year.

Who cares? If you’re rushing, get off greekrank and meet ppl from the houses by yourself and don’t go by who parties the most.
Who also cares if you’re just looking for parties. If a party happens you either get invited or you don’t. If you do, feel free to go or not. If you don’t, either find someone to put you on the guest list or find something else to do, it’s really not hard. Use your heads people.

Imma be honest, partying is a big reason why I’m rushing. Delts tried to “show me a good time” after they bid me but it’s not that fun when there’s 15 girls in the house and 40 dudes tryna get some. There are cool dudes in a lot of different houses so I might as well go somewhere that can actually throw down with sororities.

Bro relax partying isn’t everything. Come back to our house when we’re off probo and can throw again (2022) and you’ll see what a real function looks like.

That page has not been updated and is false.
To my knowledge the relevant houses with the ability to function are as follows.
Sig Chi (7 functions)
SAE (7 functions)
Fiji (all clear)
Delts (0 functions)
Pi Kapps (don’t know for sure, but limited maybe around 4)
feel free to correct any of these if i missed something slightly
