Zeta’s SECOND statement
by: wowZTA’s new post is a 5 sentence screenshot with no caption. You’d think that with all the backlash of the situation AND their original post, they’d take the time to sincerely address it and genuinely own up to their faults. Do better.

I agree. Both of their statements seemed to have been posted as a formality in order to still be seen in a good light in the Purdue community, Greek community, and to PNMS. But these posts just made them look awful. Not correctly addressing a problem in your own organization that happened in recent years involving multiple people in the position of power in the house is disgusting. They really just wrote 5 sentences on a ZTA letterhead, screenshotted it, and thought it was enough. The Greek community and Purdue community are EXTREMELY disappointed in Zeta Tau Alpha.

Okay here is what I will say... I don’t like zeta and personally find most girls to be superficial. However. I will say that the girls in the house now are not responsible for what happened to this poor girl. I feel awful that she went through what she did and I believe that zeta was awful to her and that the people who did this should be held accountable. But the problem is, the ladies that did this to her are definitely graduated and out of purdue by now. So it’s difficult to place the blame on the members of the house at the moment. That being said I do hope that these girls are doing all they can to make amends

I think they should’ve apologized for the original post, and instead of saying “they have not worked at our chapter for quite sometime” they should’ve said that the faculty are no longer with them and if they were they would not be accepted in the house today. They also should’ve at least had a caption of the post explaining the situation. Also, instead of saying “we apologize to Briana for what she experienced” they should’ve said something along the lines of “we apologize that our own sisters said and did insensitive things towards Briana and she had every right to feel the way she did. We are working on education ourselves and our members by talking to our sisters of color, finding educational resources, and holding a virtual learning session for every sister and faculty member”
