tbh, if you can get some definitely do it. some sororities cut a lot of girls after open house and rec letters can help a lot to get past that initial cut. however Purdue greek life isn’t super difficult/exclusive like Alabama or other southern schools so not having any recs wouldn’t “ruin” your rush experience per say.

Rec letters mean NOTHING! Your best rec is actually knowing someone active in the house who is popular & well liked. The rest of the girls in the house will trust her judgement and vote you in. But, if That girl is a deadbeat sister and not popular, chances are you won’t get in.

Definitely accurate- rec letters MAY get you to a second round, but after that- if the rusher is not popular or well liked, most likely you won’t get asked back. Sad, superficial, but true.
