rushing spring 2019, need advice
by: confusedLooking for a fraternity to rush with great parties, good brotherhood and good academic support. I have heard ZBT, Pi Kapps, and DU fit this description.. Any input? Don't know too much about greek life

All 3 houses are solid choices, you will for sure have time to hit all 3 during rush. But heres a general run down on the 3 from what I've seen and heard. ZBT will have the highest social standing of the 3 but the weakest brotherhood (due to no pledgeship). Pi kapps prolly has the best academics but the worst parties because their physical house is just so small. DU probably has the best brotherhood of the 3 but the worst academics wise. These guys are really close to each other but they are dumb as bricks. Just hit all 3 for rush and find out which one you like the most, that's all that really matters cuz with the current Greek life system any house on campus can go on probo at any minute and if you joined a house you dont fit in for parties your really gonna hate it during probo.

ZBT and Pi Kapps get invited to the same caliber of parties so they're about even on that front. ZBT slightly edges them out with more top house pairs, but with so few houses functioning right now, they're essentially the same level. If you join DU you'll be partying with lower houses.
I don't mean any of this as a good or bad thing, just trying to clear it up. Either way you'll have fun and meet great people.

Basically ZBT is verging on a top house, picking up the slack from phi psi and kappa sig. pi Kapps and DU are actually very similar (upper middle), hosting each other frequently, as well as other fraternities like AGR and Delts (could be other options for you during rush). Sorority relations with these two are also upper middle: mainly DG, zeta, theta, DZ, etc. sometimes pi Kapps goes a little further with a phi or kappa etc. pi Kapps just seems to have better relations with sororities on an individual basis, where DU doesn’t care as much and likes to have very large parties that are less personal
