At Purdue there's a huge distinction in quality of girls between upper tier and lower tier but a lot of what's in the middle is fair game for grades, involvement, and sisterhood. Obvs some more than others but you'll be socially fine if you land these houses:
TOP: A Phi, Kappa, Pi Phi, Chi O, DZ
UPPER MID: Theta, DG, AXO, Zeta, DDD
These houses function with mid/top frats, older girls darty at the U, good campus presence

LOWER MID: Phi Mu, AXiD, AOPi, KD
BOTTOM: GPhi, AGD, SDT, Phi Rho
These houses function with bottom frats, don't get invited to the U, dudes will claim they've never heard of some of these houses
Nothing wrong with lower houses, the girls are probably nice but they're in a complete different world from the upper houses

DZ's not on the same level as A Phi, Kappa, but a lil more social than DG, Theta, and AXO.
Tri Delt paired with dry Beta, that hurts them hard. Need a good PC to stay relevant.
Zeta's too much of a mixed bag. Having one of the cliquiest and worst sisterhoods doesn't help them.
I'd separate top half into three levels. Difference between levels are miniscule.
A Phi, Kappa, Pi Phi, Chi O
DZ, DG, Theta, AXO
Tri Delt, Zeta
And then:
Phi Mu, AXiD
KD, AOPi, SK
GPhi, AGD
Phi Rho, SDT
I've seen girls happier being in Phi Mu and AGD than some of the top houses too, just saying.

True. It’s just my opinion anyway. These are the rankings “how I see it”, if that’s alright. I think there is a difference between the houses in top three lines, just that the difference isnt as big between this so-called “upper tier” and “bottom tier”.

Interestingly, each of these houses are very different from one another as each are diverse in their own way. Each has a share of their ‘hot’ girls and each has their share of ‘not so hot’ girls. The bottom line is that if a house has a group of women who are authentic and down to earth, kind and nice, have a presence on campus via clubs, organizations & philanthropy, like to have a lot of fun while pulling off decent grades, then THAT’S a top house. I can bet that these so called rankings haven’t changed much in 25 years.

If the difference is so minuscule, then why even separate -because that just sounds stupid. It’s really about an authentic sisterhood, isn’t it? Rankings are only a matter of personal opinion anyway.
