rec letter
by: mI'm interested in joining a sorority and was wondering how important rec letters are? I'm not a legacy and don't really know anyone who was in a sorority and don't really know where to start.

If you are a double legacy, but your family is from another university.. does that help you at all at least get one invite back? (Mom and Grandma)
Are any sororities on National probation and if they are, do they have to tell PNM’s they are, and, what that means? Just curious

It doesnt necessarily help but can give you a leg up. Based on many sororities national bylaws legacies are required to be considered and kept til certain rounds most of the time before being dropped so if you mess up a round it could give you a second chance. However I would not dwell on that or really try to consider it that much. Just trust the process to find what is right for you cause it will work. Plus you dont want to be in a house just because youre a legacy you want to be somewhere that loves you and you love too.
As far as probation goes they do not have to disclose that.
