aopi house stoppage
by: BOILER GRAD
I’m currently at a professional conference and ran into a fraternity advisor from Purdue. He began talking to another civil engineer about the unfinished AOPI house.
Basically, he said that the project is in limbo. AOPI contracted with the builder to lease the house for 50 years then they would own it. So they have no “big $$” down now. Apparently the construction company has just STOPPED WORK on it—he said there are rumors of a bankruptcy or business failure.
Anybody know anything? He said because their alums have no finances involved, they have no actual ownership leverage. Where will all their girls live? And what about the promises they’ve made and photos taken?
