Are there any parties Greek or non-Greek during BGR or before classes start?

There are always geed house parties. If you are a guy and don't know anyone in the fraternities good luck.

If you're at BGR and can get into a fraternity party, it also means the fraternity sucks. No good houses will let freshman in.

Fraternities that let random freshman dudes into their parties are trying to play the numbers game, and you don't want any part of that. They have to rely on those tactics to get sufficient numbers of guys to remain relevant.

It's entirely different if you have a friend in the house that invites you personally. They are still trying to impress you to get you to rush/join (technically dirty rushing) but it is more of a quality over quantity approach. They don't need to impress 50 guys to get 10 to join, they just go after 10 decent guys individually.
