pyramid sceme?

by: Confused

I was eating dinner at the dinning court on my STAR date when a guy sat next to me and said he had a great opportunity for me. He told me he was with Pi Kapps and if I bought 30 bottles of his shampoo and managed to sell them all I could get a bid. He said If I brought more guys to rush, then they could sell shampoo also and not only would we all get bids then, but I'd be able to miss some of the harder days of pledgeship. As I became a brother I could move up the ladder and recruit more guys while also making good money on the side from all the shampoo they sell. The fraternity would not only be giving me valuable life experience in managing others and running a business, but I would be working next to my brothers.

Is this guy legit? is joining a fraternity like Pi Kapps really as easy as selling a few bottles of shampoo? I Did't realize greek life worked like this.

Keep in mind this is Purdue Greek life, not IU. Where anyone, including fobby Indian kids, can get a bid.

The key factor is what he said about conditioners.

You know I actually heard this rumor as well, it was kinda surprising to me. I have been turned off to Fraternities as a whole, especially since I heard that AGR's eat mud???

This is so clearly fake. What kind of geeds sell shampoo for bids. My bro was a Pi Kapp here and all he had to do was sell like 50 scented candles.
