recruitment process at purdue

I am considering transfering to Purdue the Spring of my sophmore year (Spring 2018) and wanted to get more information on how the Recruitment process works at Purdue. Is there formal recruitment during the spring or only informal? What type of mindset should I have going in if I am rushing as a sophmore? Which houses typically take which types of girls (i.e girls with high gpas only, the whole "only blondes" trope, etc." I just want to have as much information as possible going in so I can go in with a good attitude. My older brother was a Delt here so I know a lot about fraternities here but not so much on sororities.

You do not want to do spring rush it's informal and barely any houses praticipate and they're usually lower teir sororities that couldn't make quota in the fall

What would you suggest then? I have heard that its pretty much impossible to get a bid during formal as a junior :(
