All of these "relevant" houses are powerhouses in each of these factors though. Zeta has the best philanthropy on campus, Pi Phi and Phi Psi are social powerhouses, Pi Kapps/ZBT/AXO/DZ dominate in service hours and campus involvement, Theta/DG/Fiji/Sig Chi always have the best grades - not to mention 3rd/4th/5th/6th in grades are also houses listed in the OP - 90% of Old Masters and PUDM Greeks consist of these houses, the most money for philanthropy are raised by these houses, the biggest service events are held by these houses, the best parties are with these houses...
Quit bashing good houses just because they're good. They're good for a reason.

Actually pike was number one with the most community service hours. Gphi is always one of the best intramural teams, and participates in many philanthropies.
All houses do a lot. You left off some other relevant houses.

Greek Life Disclaimer: Fraternities here at Purdue tend to rely on social reputation and legacy to determine the "top house" and tier system than actual participation on campus.

If you are comparing all things together, many of the top social houses do not do nearly as well in other categories.
Lots of great people go to lower social houses and focus on the other things. Probably not true for most the people that scour and comment on this site, but the very short and simple facts above paint a much more accurate picture if you are looking at the "all around" things that chapters do.
And yeah, I am in a lower tier social house. I come on here from time to time to check out the drama and see if anything significant is happening in our Greek system that I hadn't heard about. But some houses really don't do much else besides social very well, and get credit for just about everything.
I came to terms with it a long time ago and I'm not pissed off or anything. Just something to consider.
