rundown of houses
by: pnmI've read a little on this site about all the sorority houses but i was wondering if someone could give me a brief rundown/description of what the girls in each house are like. Particularly in the houses Theta, Chi O, A Phi, Pi Phi, DZ, Kappa, DG, AXO, Tri Delt, and Zeta, but I'd also like to hear about the others, just a general idea of what the girls are like, outside of the glorified bubbly personas they will put on during rush. Thanks!

Theta- smart girls, never see them out though. Have a weird mix of girls, some are really weird but some are pretty cool. A girl you would more likely study with than go out with.
Chi O- some pretty girls, some not. They have been going downhill in recent years, the girls are just not very friendly. They are unable to pair for functions, football buddies, Grand Prix. Some still go out to other people's functions in small cliques.
Alpha phi- pretty girls with attitude. Fraternities like them because they are all cute, but these girls are very catty. They kind of give off the "I'm above you" vibe. One of the most social houses.
Pi phi- relatively pretty girls who know how to throw down. Probably most social sorority at Purdue. Frats like them because of their relaxed attitude, and they know if they invite the pi phis they will have a good time. Seems to have a good sisterhood, but lacking a little bit on academics. Not the highest gpa, not the lowest.

alpha phi being "catty" is the nice way to put it. These girls are so mean to one another tons of girls every year drop. Explains why aphi always has to do spring rush

Don't listen to these stereotypes! I know tons of sweet and involved A Phi's and they say they have a great sisterhood!! And there's nothing wrong with spring rush. Some girls just drop because they don't feel like it was the right fit or for financial reasons, since A Phi has the nicest house at Purdue and it's expensive

DZ- cool and social girls. Some really cute girls, some not but these girls are really fun. Their newest pledge class really helped them, they're moving up. They seem to all get along with one another and other sororities.
Kappa- newest pledge class is pretty but older ones not so much. Still rushing for glitter and glue though, some girls never go out while some always do. Seems to have a decent sisterhood with a little drama but good academics.
DG- nicknamed delta grandmas for a reason. They never go out, but they are smart. Some are cute and some aren't, but they consistently hold one of the highest gpas. Seem to have a good sisterhood, but I think they are cliquey within.
AXO- average looking girls with cool personalities. They have a more laid back attitude, and seem to get along with everyone. Academics are average, social life is average. this house is kind of a mystery...you never seem to hear about them. Nothing good but nothing bad either.

Tri Delt- the mixing pot of girls. They all are so different but somehow work in one house. Pretty average looking and average social life. Their house is huge so the pledge classes are huge. Seems to not be the closest group of girls but they are there for one another. Don't hear about them much.
ZTA- the wannabes. These girls want to be social climbers, but just don't have the right girls to do it. Pretty social, but parties mostly with middle tier frats. There seems to be cliques within the pledge classes. Some really cool girls, some nobodies. Average academics

pi phi has the 3rd lowest GPA of all 16 housed sororities. yeah it's not the lowest but you make academics seem at least average for pi phi lol partying can only get you so far in four years of college
