I used to work with a Purdue KKG. She said that they were called “KKK” on campus because they purposefully excluded women of color. This was a few years ago though, so I hope that they’ve become more inclusive since then.

Kappa Kappa Gamma has a zero tolerance for racism or discrimination without our chapter also. We will continue to demand change and encourage the members to educate ourselves on the importance of equality and justice for wrongdoings. KKK is something that is not tolerated or supportive nationally throughout the Kappa Kappa Gamma fraternity, please ensure that you have your facts correct before posting something that could harm others and spread negativity through the media!

@BLM I'm not trying to slander anyone here, literally "we're called KKK on campus" came out of this girl's mouth at least 3 times on separate occasions in the year that I worked with her. It isn't right, but PNMs and frankly anyone who cares to work for a better future has a right to know that KKG members at Purdue previously held this mentality. It's great that this org is striving to do better, but part of that is acknowledging the toxic thoughts of some of the members, not sweeping it under the rug.
