Don't know much about these boys, but they are in the same national org as the Cornell Zeta Psi which is one of the most prestigious Fraternity chapters in the world. That's gotta be worth something

These guys DO NOT participate in anything on campus. Most brothers from other fraternities are proud to wear their letters and these guys rarely wear anything with a letter on it

As a 1973 alum, I must take issue with your comments. Zeta Psi at Purdue has always maintained a fellowship of 25 or less men. That, in itself, makes it a bit irrelevant with the general Greek life at Purdue. But, keeping the organization small has always allowed the frat to not have to face the arduous task of having to fill up a 100 to 150 monster-house---every year. Those of us who were not sports jocks, were never faced with the hassle of having to unwillingly participate in athletics, which seemed to be the really the big thing at the major houses. When I rushed, I was immediately taken with the "Zetes". They were humorous, gracious, and kind to me. And, they really demonstrated brotherhood amongst themselves. I joined, without hesistation when asked to pledge. No cruel or stupid, sadistic hazing followed. Our small pledge class was tasked to dig out the muddy basement of our original Grant Street house and turn it into a glorious chapter room. I served as the House Manager and later, Rush Chairman during my time there and, I loved every minute of it. We had a very diverse membership: A hockey player with a heavy Canadian accent, the editor of the newspaper, "The Exponent," a couple of Hoosier farmers, and an absolutely brilliant physicist, among others. Our old house served us well, as we did most of the cooking and repairs ourselves, keeping prices low and allowing us to save up to eventually move into the Acres with a spacious, custom-designed house. Thanks!
