Sig is super misunderstood on campus. A lot of the pseudo-liberal middle america kids just want to find something to hate, and the greek system is there as an easy target. Regardless, SigEp has a lot of cool guys who are really great friends once you get to know them. Never once felt unwelcome in the house.

Some are very nice, but most are either uptight or too vanilla. Fairly calm parties besides Beach Bash

As a neutral non-greek who has been here for three years I've seen all of the fraternities on campus and they are the best. Highest GPA, most volunteer hours of any greek organization, throw great parties, what's not to like?. They also host all-campus events like their pig roast during LUAroo, Beta Auction, and held a pancake breakfast benefiting Riverview Gardens and Habitat for Humanity.
