I love seeing these girls on campus, they have grown a lot as a chapter on our campus and have become so much better than what they were when my brother went to school here years ago. They’re really inclusive and friendly which is why I went out for recruitment I wanted to be apart of something like that. I love how passionate they were about there philanthropies. Being a heavier set female walking into sorority recruitment really brought my confidence down but I felt so welcomed and knew they saw me for more than just my looks. Walking into other sorority rooms I felt very judged and felt like they would pay more attention to the pretty girls with the “sorority look” than to myself and girls who had my similar body types. Was very disheartening to me but I really appreciate these girls and their kindness and passion.

It's sad the lengths that other members of greek life will go to in order to drag down their biggest competition. Spreading lies about things that didn't happen just to scare off potentials is pathetic. Unlike other organizations, these guys are not desperate enough to force people what to do. Is it a surprise that the best freshman always ends up here? I think not. They recruit true leaders on campus and their involvement is well-motivated and genuine.

As a freshman I came out for Greek Life with an open mind yet even with good intentions I received the worst experience possible. I planned on talking to every organization to better understand the brothers that represented them. The first event I went out for was SAE and that's when I knew the stigma around this particular fraternity was true. After the event we had that Monday we're immediately brought to an unknown location. Moments later we were in a house and being threaten by brothers to sign our bids early and not allowed to speak with other orgs throughout recruitment week. If we didn't comply it come back to bit us. Me and the freshmen feared for our lives and some gave into the peer pressure. I hate to badmouth an organization but this HAS TO BE HEARD. (they keep deleting my comment to SILENT ME!) PS. THEIR RATINGS ARE RIGGED (5 STARS FOR EVERYTHING?) ABSOLUTE RED FLAG!!

This organization is a leader to the campus. They’re brothers put together many great events. They are an organization with really great men who will do anything for their campus and their brothers. The brotherhood and the bond among the brothers is unbreakable. When things seem bleak you can always see brothers picking each other up. All together they’re really great people and fun to be around.

These men are far from gentlemen and their actions and words clearly exhibit that. I’ve overheard many of these guys make playful comments against other organizations, people of the LGBTQ+ community, and people of color. As a campus, we pride ourselves on diversity and inclusion, and the brothers vastly demoralize that goal. If only they had respect for others, or ever showed face at any MGC events! What a thought! Do better.

They seem really nice at first but most have no interest in your as a potential or as a brother. I’ve known guys who get in but want to leave shortly after getting in because their brotherhood isn’t real. I’ve been told by multiple friends within sororities that their recruitment is only numbers based and they really don’t care who you are.

These men are nothing less of a "gentlemen" in many eyes of the students on campus. A lot of organizations praise themselves to this standard but it is obvious that the persona they're are projecting is false and disgusting. The brothers of Sigma Chi are the respectful leaders at the University of New Haven. The hate they receive comes from ignorance or bitter organizations. Don't believe me? Go to talk them yourself and make an opinion.
