potentially unpopular opinion

As an outsider, I never really understood the hostility of Greek organizations towards each other competing to be the "best" or "top tier". Isn't that like against y'alls values or something? To bad mouth each other? Honestly it makes Greek life look seriously unattractive and the whole idea of saying one is better than another is really discriminatory. So really I guess I'm here to ask is this what being in Greek life consists of? Because the fact that there is a website dedicated to the judgement of each other is honestly sickening. I mean as long as their all having fun and enjoying their brother/sisterhood, why do you have to hate on each other? When you stop comparing you will realize how much happier you all will be with your organization and with others
