What about alphabet themed mixers. You could have tons of fun with creating a theme, shirts, and meeting new people you wouldn't normally mix with:

C - XO & XPhi/XPsi
D - DDD & DKE/DSP/DU
K - KD/KKG & KA/KS
P - PM/PBP & PDT/PGD/PKA/PKP/PLP
S - SSS & SAE/SX/SN/SPE
