It's definitely too early to tell. I've seen their group picture and it's hard to tell what a lot of the girls look like. It looks like they got a mix of really pretty girls and some duds. But let's be real, most of the sororities have a mixture. We'll probably have to wait to see how their mixers and stuff go.

Their group pic wasn't bad at all. I think some of the really hot girls and some of the awkwards were strategically placed.
Instagram shows a different story. Appears to be more awkwards and basics than hot girls.

I think they'll stay at the very bottom, even below Tri Sigma. No way Alpha Pi will pass them in the ranks until they get a house, maybe not even then.

They got a lot of really hot girls and some less attractive girls. From a guy's point of view, they're definitely not bottom tier, because guys are going to base it mostly on attractiveness. From a girl's point of view, they won't be viewed as favorably because they don't have an established sisterhood, history, or house. It's hard to tell exactly where they'll fit in the rankings as of now.

I'm not sure how you assumed I was a guy. I said from a guy's point of view. I'm actually a girl and in ADPi. I was just giving my honest opinion that they will not be considered bottom tier by guys in the sense that they won't mix with bottom tier fraternities and they did get some pretty girls. Girls, who actually care about sisterhood, history, meals at the house, etc. (which Alpha Phi does not have) will have a different opinion of the house and will place them lower in how they rank the sororities. I'm saying that guys don't care whether they have a history or a house, but girls will.

SRZLY, the guy's telling the truth because tiers/rankings are based on one thing and one thing only - looks, and how hot the average chicks are. If not, there's no way you could possibly attempt to rank a sorority that came into existence yesterday with those that have been on campus for a hundred years or however long. There are more snarky beyotches that think they're better than they really are in the top tiers anyway, rankings have nothing to do with how good the girls get along with their sisters, where their house is, their GPA, or anything else of real merit.

Not true that the rankings are based solely on looks, because if they were KD would be somewhere in the middle and "hot" houses like zeta would be top. The tier system has been set in place for years based on many factors. Looks are one of those factors, but definitely not the only one. History matters, and since Alpha Phi has yet to establish a history, they really can't even have a ranking

Zeta is not "hot"....at least not anymore. Even the girls in it will say they don't recruit based on looks anymore because the girls never got along and now they're trying to build a better sisterhood so half their PCs don't drop. Just look at this year's pledge class. No hot girl is going to pick zeta over top tier anyway.

It is WAY too early to tell what Alpha Phi's "ranking" is. They don't even have a rank. They don't even have a house. Even once they get their pledge class, it'll still be too early to tell. People will have to wait until AT LEAST next year's pledge class before judging. This year's pledge class will have some cute girls, but a lot of them are doing it because they're seniors and bored and want the alumni connections, not because they want a "sorority" and social aspects that come with it. At least from who I know who is joining, the cute girls are ones who are seniors and therefore won't matter in the long run, and the not so cute girls are ones who not even the lowest tier sorority would want to take. If next year they get a great pledge class and have great events, then they can be ranked bottom/middle. They'll take a long time before they are able to even surpass KKG because of sisterhood and history, but unfortunately for Tri Sig they'll probably pass them next year.

KKG, please please PLEASE stop with the self promotion. It's okay to be proud of your sorority, but for the love of God, stop trying to put Tri Sig down while you're at it. It just makes your cause look that much worse.

The tiers are based on who you mix with pretty much. Sorry but alpha phi will not be below KKG and Tri Sig. Middle tier fraternities will want to mix with them. You're lying to yourself if you think the tiers aren't mostly based on looks/who the sorority mixes with.

You are DELUSIONAL to think that after 1 day, Alpha Phi is on the same level as Pi Phi. Pi Phi has been around at Carolina for nearly 100 years, has a strong, established sisterhood, and 2 houses. It is insulting to say they are on par with us.
To think Alpha Phi is better than any of our existing sororities, you are sorely mistaken. Earning a middle tier slot takes time.
They are the very bottom sorority until they EARN a higher ranking. That takes way more than 1 day.
