spring rush vs rushing as a sophomore

Where do you want to pledge? The Big 4 doesn't do spring rush and a couple other places sometimes do and sometimes don't, but the huge majority of fraternities do (it just isn't as big as fall rush). Waiting until fall would mean missing out on another semester of being Greek. I would probably pledge in the spring and have three years as a brother in front of me.
That said, if you're dead set on one of the places without spring rush, then you have to wait. But keep in mind that the places that don't have spring rush are also super-selective about the sophomores that they take, if they take any sophomores.
