cob/spring recruitment

I just got released from Alpha Phi recruitment and I regret putting all my eggs in one basket. I assume Sigma is the only group doing COB, I don't know if Alpha Phi might if they have girls who drop/don't accept their bids. Would I have a shot at spring recruitment as a second-semester sophomore? I want to be Greek but I'm starting to wonder if it will ever happen for me.

If you have friends in sororities that usually do spring recruitment, reach out to them and say you would be interested. It isn't unheard of for a sophomore to be recruited spring semester, but you'll definitely want to have connections. Best of luck!

My best advice is to go to the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life and say you'd like to be considered for COB. Or just ask at various chapters - it's possible you'll still be eligible for a snap bid! One of my best friends joined her chapter as a second semester sophomore without any connections - if you click with a certain house, it absolutely happens! So much luck in finding your new home

Huge thanks to both of you! From your advice and from talking to my Greek friends I think I am going to look into COB and definitely into spring recruitment. I'm so glad it's not yet too late to find my sorority home and I'm incredibly grateful for the wonderful advice I've received!
