i have an idea

Like so many of you, I too have only the bottom 2 houses left, along with my 2 best friends. We were thinking that if we all joined the next to bottom house, along with all of you, that would make a pretty impressive pledge class don't you think?

From what I read on here they are very close to middle tier anyway. We might be what's needed to push them into full blown middle tier.

We don't want to wait a whole other year to go Greek, and alpha phi isn't established yet, and they don't have a house.


We'll decide tomorrow before pref night.

The house you are talking about has a lot of nice fun girls with a really good pledge class last year! You join in and you make your destiny :) I would go for it. dont worry about tiers.

My roommate and I are sophomores and want to join the same house. We are lucky to have 4 houses left each. We overlap on 3 of the 4 (both bottom tiers and a middle tier). If 1 or both of us gets cut by the middle tier where we overlap, we're down for this plan.

Yeah I have some friends last year who did that and they are literally flawless. I never understood why they were in the second to lowest house, but they said that tiers practically don't exist when rush is over so there really isn't that big of a difference

I'm in a bottom tier sorority and some of my sisters are dating guys in the big 4.
as long as you are hot and cool, guys don't care what letters you're wearing

If we suicide to this one house, does that increase our chances of getting that house over the other house, or does it not matter and we only do it since we know we would not accept a bid at the other house?

Suiciding is if you only put 1 sorority on your pref card. That means you are only willing to accept a bid from that 1 sorority. It's called suicide because you are putting all your eggs in one basket.

And no, I don't think it increases your chances of getting a bid from your favorite house.

I am lucky to have 3 houses left: AXO, KKG, and SSS. Assuming I will be invited back to all 3 houses (knock on wood!!)), I plan on listing both AXO and KKG on my pref card. With Alpha Phi joining the mix, I'm thinking KKG will move into low middle tier after rush. I'd be happy with any middle tier house!

Wanted to provide an update. If all 3 of us still have KKG for pref, we are going to suicide them. We really want to join the same sorority 😀

I like your outlook! Sometimes people are so focused on their problems that they forget that a great pledge class does change the dynamic of a sorority. It's not all about what a chapter can do for you, but what you can add. Btw
