how does the bidding process work?
by: PNMDo sororities just rank you? Can you get bids from top tiers if you don't know anyone (for example if you have a really high GPA)?

You'll learn all of this from your gamma chi before rush starts, but basically you visit a certain number of houses every day and rank your tops (ones you want to go back to) and bottoms (ones you would like to drop). Sororities also rate you in terms of how much they want you to come back. This all goes into a computer and generates your schedule for the next day. Sometimes you get all your tops back and none of your bottoms, but if you didn't "match up" with enough of your tops to make a full schedule, they pull from your bottoms and you go back to those houses. Hope this makes sense!
