why do people care so much

My question is why people care so much about "rank" - you should be in your Greek organization because it makes you happy, not just because your house is a "top one." Seriously, literally no one actually cares whether you were in a "top" house or not. Each has good and bad members. Get over yourselves and be happy with who you are and where you are and don't worry about bashing other people to build yourself up.
