dirty rushing
by: DDDThere has been a lot of talk about ZTA's dirty rushing practices. I am in a different sorority and at dinner last night several girls agreed that the way they were treated at ZTA was different than at any other house during Recruitment - one even commented that it made her very uncomfortable. As a Panhellenic sisterhood, we ALL have to encourage them to clean up their act. If one house breaks the rules that are established for Recruitment, it hurts everyone. Recruitment works when it's done with integrity - girls wind up where they are meant to be, whether they know it at the time or not. Dirty Rushing changes the game, and skews the results for each and every house.

Zeta has been doing this for at least a couple of years. I rushed as a Freshman (I'm a Junior now) and was explicitly TOLD on Pref night that if I put ZTA first, I would definitely get a bid. I didn't. I saw the girl who preffed me a week or so later and she hid from me - we're from the same high school, so I know it was her. She literally HID BEHIND A DAMN TREE. She knew she had screwed me over and couldn't look me in the eye. That speaks volumes.
