Why were there girls from Elon's Tri-Sig at UNC Thursday night when I was rushing? Is that normally done?

It's because their house here is failing and small. They needed help. It's ridiculous to have a bunch of girls from a good chapter meeting you when they won't even be your sisters.

They will be your sisters...doesn't matter if you're at different schools. Do you understand how sororities work? Doesn't matter if you're a Chi O Here or a Chi O at Arizona or a ZTA here or at Vandy, you're still sisters.

You're right tri sig does need help. And you know what is not helpful? A mean spirited post like this.

Girls join sororities to be with the girls there, not to be sisters with some unknown girls at other schools. You need rationality. You're obviously one of those desperate sigma sigma sigmas!

Tri Sigma at Elon is the school's oldest and best chapter, so wonder why they wanted them to come in.

Assuming you don't stay at Chapel Hill forever, you'll grow up, graduate, get a job and move away. You may be surprised to find how different sororities are stronger in different parts of the country. KKG and Pi Phi are part of the top three in Texas, for example.

but tri-sig isn't strong ANYWHERE. their chapters at UVA and Mizzou are terrible, and they're really only good at some small directional schools and JMU.

Yeah Tri-Sig is nothing anywhere. At least with strong national sororities you have something to look forward to after you graduate if your chapter is weaker here. If you're a Tri-Sig, you're always a Tri-Sig. Depressing from bid day until you die!
