sophomore transfer rush

How critical is knowing someone as a sophomore in recruitment? I'm a transfer with a pretty decent GPA. Will rec letters help make up for being a transfer? I'm worried that it will be impossible even with the upperclassmen quota because I won't know girls!

Nowadays everyone has a rec letter to every house so that doesn't do much. Knowing people can go a long way but there's never guarantees. You'll just need to make a strong impression
