sororities
by: outofstateI live in a state where Greek life is a HUGE deal. Unfortunately, I don't know any girls at UNC and I'm not a legacy. I have letters of recommendation for most sororities (I don't really have any preferences because I don't know much about sororities at UNC), but what are my chances of getting in a "good" sorority if I don't know any girls involved in Greek life? I have good grades and I think Im pretty well rounded but where all my friends are going to school you need to know people to get in the sorority you want, is it like that at UNC?

If it is a HUGE deal and you think you could make it into a decent one down there, then you could have a fairly good chance of getting into a good one/middle tier here. Obviously I would say looks are important (but not always). Even more important than looks I would say is NOT BEING AWKWARD during rush. If you can try to click with those you talk to then that is what would seal the deal.
