Reminder for rush
by: HiJust want to put this out there with rush coming up, if you are rushing because you genuinely want to make lifelong friends, don’t let something like tiers stop you. College is four years but your sisterhood is forever. Don’t join a house based off what other people think. Go where you make genuine connections and can see yourself making lifelong friends. Furthermore, after college, you’ll be introduced to a huge alumni network. Pick the chapter where your values align, so when you’re connecting with alumni from other schools, they’re people you genuinely share values with. Your chance to make friends and connections within Greek life doesn’t stop at graduation. It’s a lifelong experience! If your values align best with a “top” tier chapter, that’s great! If your values align with a “middle” or “bottom” tier chapter, that’s great too! You’ll be most happy where you see your own values and women like you. Not where you see women that you “want” to be like or “wish” were you. If you do that, you’ll spend your entire experience trying to be someone you aren’t and not being able to truly connect with your org.
