sorority oos quotas
by: hmDo sororities have out of state quotas they have to meet every year or is it just that they pick whoever they want/know from their hometown and oos girls just pray they connect with someone in a house enough to invite them back.

Both! Each sorority has a quota of OOS students they will take. But then some sororities have their own quota they kinda make up. During rush Tridelt and some of the other houses advertise the fact that 1/2 of the sorority is OOS. In some ways it is better having the OOS on your profile since most girls not already on a sororities list have an advantage with the OOS name even with no connections! But it really depends on the sorority and girl!

OMG this is so wrong. Whoever wrote that has no idea what they are talking about. NO!
No sorority has a quota they have to take of any kind of girl. No sorority HAS to take anyone. That is strictly against NPC rules.
Demographics are not the basis of membership selection whatsoever. If a sorority is letting you know that they happen to have a certain amount of OOS members, it's just so the OOS and OOR girls won't count them out.
Sororities take who they like, and girls they already know do have an advantage, that's only natural, but there are plenty of OOS pnm's going through recruitment and lots with no connections and most pnm's get a bid. Being OOS is not an advantage or a disadvantage, your recruitment is entirely up to you and all about your conversations and how you present yourself.
The recruitment process is designed to give as many pnm's a bid as possible, not to limit the number of bids in any way. There is no predetermined number of bids and the more pnm's that go through rush and stay through pref means more girls will get bids.
