So sorry girl UNC is probably the only school where kappa has negative reputation
The sisterhood is strong (so I’ve heard) but it won’t get you near the same experience that you had before even at a small northern school

I would suggest asking if you could come to a meal/event before making a commitment. They have a strong sisterhood but as others have pointed out are less involved socially. However, I know a few girls in the chapter who have strong social lives due to outside connections and friends. I’d just give it a chance and see how it goes. No telling if you don’t try.

Do yourself a favor and get alumni status. Do not transfer to this chapter.

Truthfully, I would attend an event of theirs before transferring into it fully. A lot of the kappa girls are really nice and have good sisterhood, as well as being one of the most/only inclusive srats on campus, but sometimes tend to think too much of themselves especially since all the other greek orgs look down on them. If you’re looking for the same status as you had at your old school I would definitely not transfer chapters at UNC.
