sophomore rush
by: SophomoreCan anyone tell me how rush is as a sophomore? I did not rush Freshman year but I have always had interest in a sorority. Is it easier to get a bid? What GPA do they look for?

Two things.... there is a quota that each house has to adhere to. Every house has to take a certain number of Sophomores and even Juniors. HOWEVER, a TON of Sophomores go through Rush and obviously a lot of them have made friends during their Freshman year that are already in Sororities. If you've met a lot of people during your Freshman year that will stand up for you during Bid sessions, then you have a good chance. If not, it still can't hurt to try but go in with an open mind and consider the fact that each house at UNC has some amazing girls! Don't pay attention to stereotypes.
