Stuff you should know when rushing
by: former gamma chi
1. SOOOO much of the stuff on here is fake or an outright lie
2. Sororities are looking for you to have a certain level of conversation so as you go through the rounds you need to be having deeper conversations. If you are still talking to them about your major in the 3rd round, don't expect to be back.
3. People say a lot of stuff about rush being fake and that does have some truth to it. The girls you are talking to are nervous and also have a bunch of rules they have to follow while they're talking to you. I would not expect to be their bestie once rush is done but if you love the girls you're talking to, then you'll love your PC.
4. Each srat has a certain energy but by no means should you believe the stereotypes that cover this page. There are a bunch of awesome and unique girls in each srat and you don't need to fit their stereotype or mold to join.
5. Not having POC is a huge problem in greek life but it's typically not the girls' fault. Nationals has a lot of control over who makes it into the pledge class and who gets dropped and a lot of the girls (especially younger ones) don't know about the extent.

not a former gamma chi, but it’s tough. coming in as a sophomore is a disadvantage because srats need to pair you with a big who is older and there are only so many options for transfer students. so less spots to begin with paired with fewer connections makes everything harder. but don’t worry too much stay out of your head and just focus on the conversations and the people you are meeting because if they want you then you’ll be in the PC. what’s supposed to happen will so just put your best foot forward
