Rushing a sorority as sophomore

Does rushing as a sophomore put you at a disadvantage? I heard there is a upperclassman quota but then I also heard that does not exist anymore. Any advice/experience will be HIGHLY appreciated.

There’s no quota but most sororities prefer freshmen. Hopefully you have a lot of friends already in sororities that can advocate for you

I joined as a sophomore! There are no quotas. Some sororities take a lot more upperclassmen than others. I would say connections are more important as a sophomore, but that’s not to say it’s impossible without them.
