PNM’s Please Read

dear pnm’s,
if you’re on here to get a feel for the houses or because you want to gauge their popularity please just wait until recruitment! every house has something unique to offer you and you won’t actually know how you feel until you meet some of the girls in each chapter. it can feel overwhelming trying to decide who’s a top house or bottom house but at the end of the day, everyone loves their house. it’s cheesy and annoying but the whole “finding your home” thing is so true. your attitude and energy will completely shift when you step into the right house for you, try to trust the process even when it’s hard❤️

Cant stress this enough!!! When I was a PNM I came on here CONSTANTLY before rush and came in with expectations about what I wanted and ended up in a completely different house but wouldn’t have it any other way. At the end of the day, rankings here do not matter (the only thing they really determine is what frats you mix with). Going in blind with no expectations will lead to a much better rush experience!!

The bottom line is that not everyone loves or even likes their house. All sororities are trying to make their very best impression to win over the PNMs and make them want to be in their sorority but some of these sororities are SO FAKE about it (chi o) and you don’t know you’ve made a mistake until you’ve accepted a bid. Chi O and other sororities might dirty rush you all summer but don’t be fooled into thinking you’re guaranteed a bid because recruitment is a numbers game and houses want as many girls as possible to want to return so they can turn around and make big cuts.

Best advice is to NOT follow your high school friends into a sorority! This is college and it’s time to forge your own path and make new friends! You can stay friends with your high school friends but y’all can branch out. There are so many new and amazing people to meet so make your own decisions!
