I'm attending UNC this fall and I'm kinda conflicted whether I want to live in Granville or South Campus. I want to rush a frat but I still want the freshman experience.which dorms would you recommend?

As someone who spent freshman year in south campus and sophomore year at Granville, Granville is definitely the right move especially if you plan to rush. Disregard those that tell you that you'll be missing out on the "south campus experience" because 1. It's overrated 2. You'll meet lots of freshmen at Granville anyway.

Live in Granville. Most freshman Greeks do. You're also closer to most classrooms, Franklin, etc.

South Campus is way overrated, and, when you have 5 minutes to get to the house as a pledge, Granville is a much better place start from.

if you want to join a frat, live in granville. you'll still get a freshman experience.

I lived in Granville and it was by far better than my friends who lived on South Campus.

I heard Granville is mostly in state kids who know each other. I'm planning on rushing and all but I'm out of state and don't know anyone going to UNC. Should I still go for Granville?

Granville, its so much more convenient and is like 80% greek anyways so its nice knowing so many people during rush.
