minority bid
by: HeelsWhich top tier frat would be the most likely to give a bid to a minority (half white/Indian)?
#1 by: Phi
Don't forget phi gam! They are one if the most diverse chapters on campus. Brothers of phi gam embrace diversity in their brotherhood and are actively recruiting many minorities throughout the state. They're also very open to anybody who is unsure of their gender identity and encourage brothers to be accepting of other groups.

It really depends upon how Indian you are. On a scale of 1-10 I would say if you're about a 2 (can barely tell and your dad is white so your last name isn't Indian at all) your chances at Phi Gam would be fair, if your a 4 you'd be considered at beta, Phi Delt, and maybe DKE (you'd have to be a rich Indian, like your dad created the second largest IT firm in India and sold it for a billion dollars), if you're a 5 I would say you might have a chance at SAE or Chi Phi but you'd have to be cool, played sports in highschool, and hook up with girls (which it seems most Indian kids do not do), if your a 6+ its all just a turkey shoot. Who knows, maybe Sigma Chi just really needs to get 12 kid so they can pay the bills next fall, or you're just a chill dude and its not a big deal. Good luck.

in all honesty, you might be at a slight disadvantage if you rush your first semester. chi phi does have an indian kid (he's awesome and really chill) but he did have some problems at first with some frats not wanting him simply because he was indian. once they got to know him, it was fine.
