Who is more likely

Who is more likely to get a snap-bid? A girl who chose to drop out of recruitment or someone who was dropped by all houses?

honestly that’s an interesting question. i feel like if a girl dropped in a super late round (3/4) there is a super good chance, but lots of girls usually don’t drop out that late bc they just stick it out. so typically those that get dropped by most houses and THEN drop rush in the later rounds usually have the best chance of a snap bid if that makes sense? but this is NOT encouraged. snap bids are a really weird, rare, and completely statistical thing and only happen if there is a numbers issue for quota. This can’t be figured out by the sorority until they know who chose them after pref so thats why snap bids happen ON bid day. But by no means am i saying you would get a snap bid if u dropped during a later round. (from my understanding of them, they are rare and there are many little rules so i don’t know a ton).

i would recommend if you have more questions to ask your gx!

some sororities have policies that prevent them from offering a snap bid to a pnm that dropped out of recruitment after the chapter dropped them. for example, if a pnm liked house X and house X dropped them round 3 and then that pnm then dropped out of recruitment, house X may not be able to offer them a snap bid. that isn't the case for all: some sororities know that they wanted a pnm and she just managed to slip through the cracks due to the numbers alone, and in that case she might get a snap bid. However, panhel in the past has NOT allowed chapters to offer snap bids to pnms who suicided them and did not get them on bid day. (if you had 2 options on pref and only put down house X, and then did not get a bid, panhel won't let house X give you a snap bid). If you really want a snap bid from a sorority, first figure out if they will offer them and what their policies are. if there's a chance they can offer you one, you probably want to have some connections to the girls in it, especially in their new pledge class. Obviously, it is easier if this happens naturally (if your friends happen to be in X sorority, your roommate is, etc) rather than if you try to force it. Normally girls will see through efforts to befriend them from non-sorority members if it seems obvious she just wants a bid.
