how and when are snap bids given out? im confused on the process if anyone can explain.

also if anyone knows, what is the likelihood of getting a snap bid if you dont have connections? does legacy status play into snap bids as well?

kd gives a lot of snap bids (bids given out late ON bid day to fill up their pc)

do not rely on snap bids! truth is there is very little chance, next to 0, you will get one... if you're truly interested in joining a sorority to meet new people and go to social events, you shouldn't drop out of rush bc your favorite houses dropped you. stay open minded to other srats bc you will find your place in any sorority and if you drop in hopes of a snap bid you may have eliminated any chance of joining one until next year

do you think being a legacy that was dropped help increase the chance of receiving a snap bid? a little disappointed with the outcome i woke up to this morning and would like to be optimistic about something but also need the honest truth!

it might, but you're still better off staying in recruitment than dropping and hoping legacy status will help. also whatever srat it is might meet quota and be unable to offer snap bids at all. stick with the houses who have invited you back, bc they're the ones who really want you. you will find a home in any srat as long as you give it a chance

The reality is no one knows who will be giving snap bids this year. There's a lot of talk of KD giving them and they definitely did last year but things change every year. I feel like a lot of people are getting their hopes up about getting a snap bid, especially to a top tier like KD. Please know that this is very unlikely, I hate to say that but I know there's a lot of false hope around snap bids right now. If you do get one it should be a great surprise but the vast majority will not. Lots of girls drop out every year (like over 100) and there are only a handful of snap bids.
