fraternity comments

im so glad we rate fraternities based on their dogs now. and chi psi and sigma nu absolutely suck. chi psi is full of nerds and sigma nu still thinks its cool to throw water balloons at people. id wayy sooner put sig chi, kappa sig, and pika above sigma nu and chi psi. not to mention chi psi and sigma nu never do anything.

big 4 - dke, beta, phi delt, phi gam (in that order)
chi phi (definitely need to get a better pledge class though), sae, ato
kappa sig, sig chi, pika
lamda chi, chi psi, sig nu

-top: DKE, Beta, phi delt, FIJI (in no order)
-very close to that/ replaces FIJI: chi phi
-SAE is close after chi phi.. decent pledge class this fall
-everyone else..

chi phi and sae need to learn that theyre not top tier and theyre not big 4. their self promotion is becoming pathetic. and i agree that although pretty much every other school calls phi gam fiji, the only time they use that name here is for their formal and fiji is generally only used for newer chapters, not single letter ones. so lets stick to calling them phi gam.

The guy getting butt hurt about sae and chi phi is clearly in phi gam, probably pledged in the fall, realizes they suck and don't deserve their spot, and is worried that either of those two is better, because they are, and that phi gam is completely irrelevant on campus.

thedude is in either sae or chi phi and doesn't want to accept that no matter how hard they try, they will never be big 4.

please stop saying that chi phi and sae are big four. if you want to say that sae and chi phi are better than any member of the big four that is perfectly acceptable, though you are probably wrong. the big four is not based at all on current quality. the big four is based completely on tradition. If DKE gets kicked off campus, it will still be a part of the big four regardless. Tradition, not quality determines the big four.

i wrote that post and you accused me of being in phi gam. first of all, im a girl and im in a well-respected sorority here. secondly, ive been to phi gam, sae, and chi phi parties and have had mixers with all of them. i can tell you, sae and chi phi arent nearly as fun or appealing as phi gam has been when ive been there. sae is closer to big 4 than chi phi is, but neither of them will ever be big 4. the fact is chi phi and sae dont really offer much that most other fraternities cant offer. they have good parties occasionally, but so does every relevant fraternity. big 4 is a matter of tradition, money, and alum, not necessarily how good the brothers or parties currently are.

If I were to rush here in the fall as ex-military what would it be like for me? I'm headed to school here and want to hear the rundown. The age difference also worries me a bit.
