Exclusivity in Greek Life?

by:

I’m unc ‘24 and I’m planning on rushing in the fall so that I can meet other girls when I get to campus... not sure if I will accept a bid yet because of my time management though. Is this a bad idea? And will I still be able to be involved with Greek parties/darties etc fall semester?

You are a clown. The fact you are asking this means you won't be invited to anything or get a bid anywhere except Delta Chi.

It's not a bad idea. Going through rush is a good way to meet girls and you don't have to be in greek life to go to fraternity parties

If you go to rush events just to meet girls and get drunk, any place you were given a bid in the fall will not invite you back ever again. People can see when you are merely using them

@ the ppl attacking me in the comments I’m a girl rushing a sorority. I’m going to rush next year for sure, but I was trying to see if I should take a bid this fall or wait, hence why I said I wanted to rush to meet OTHER GIRLS.

i really still don’t understand why u would go through rush just not to accept a bid...? like why put yourself through that. also most of the girls at greek parties/darties (at least for the big 4) are in sororities. period

Hey I thought the same thing when I was rushing but the time commitment is not as much as you think! You can really spend as much or as little time as you’d like with the sorority and it is definitely manageable to balance with schoolwork. I went out basically every night freshman year and still kept good grades and made a ton of friends!
