jr transfer rushing

I will be transferring to UNC from another top school that I just never found my home at. I am really hoping to rush, but I didn't know if being a junior and a transfer student will hurt my chances at a decent house.

Thoughts?

Honestly, not a lot of junior transfers go Greek. Do you know anybody in the Greek system? Having a friend in one of the houses would be your best bet. Going in cold could be a lot more challenging, not saying impossible but challenging.

If you are a girl... Coming from a transfer myself, I do suggest going through rush to meet people, BUT you must go in with an open mind and not with your heart set on one particular house. You will ultimately find a sorority to call home, it just may not be "top tier".
